Sunday Worship

Study Group meets before church at 9:00am to discuss various topics, frequently examining the sacred scriptures.

Service starts at 10:30am.

Typical Service

  • On alternating weeks, the chairs are arranged in a circle or traditional rows.
  • 4 main white candles are lit (either by Pastor or a lay member).
  • Candle lighting occurs throughout the service, whenever people are moved to do so, whether they are experiencing a joy or a sorrow.
  • Time when people are moved to ask for prayer or share personal reflections.
  • Gospel and Swedenborg readings-generally three short scripture readings, and one reading from a work of E. Swedenborg.
  • The church welcomes any monetary gifts to continue what the church may need to exist.
  • Sacred Sharing-Members of the congregation, if moved, share what the service might have caused them to reflect upon.
  • Announcements-Minister and lay are welcome to share personal and church announcements.
  • Singing Circle-A hymn “Let the Lord Mighty God, Bless and Keep You Forever” to the tune of Edelweiss.

Fellowship Hour is an informal time for refreshments and socializing.
